Ops (Opis) with Various Animals

Ops (Opis), Roman goddess of fertility and abundance (agriculture) and wife of Saturn. She holds her hands to her breasts, source of milk for her child and sign of abundance. In the niche she is surrounded by a group of animals of the hunt and farm, as well as a peculiar lion. Below the composition is the inscription OPIS SATVRNI CONIVNX MATERQVE DEORVM.
