About this work
A crowned angel, the personification of heavenly love, tramples the blindfolded and bound Amor. The angel dips his arrow into the wound in Christ's side. In the background, a crowd of believers looking up at the dove of the Holy Spirit and the monogram of Christ in the sky. In the margin, a six-line inscription in three columns, in Latin.
