About this work
This print with a peasant selling his products at the market has a pendant with a peasant woman who has displayed her wares. The figures are shown facing each other with titles on text bands which are fully integrated with the figures and their attributes. The texts complement each other and are moralistic in intent, the peasant and peasant woman sell their products but the proceeds are spent on drink.
