About this work

A box with salted cookies in the shape of plum blossoms. Behind it a pipe in a case and tobacco bag with netsuke. To the rear left a blue-and-white porcelain pot with a bonsai pine and Fukujuso. The shell to which the title refers is depicted in the fan-shaped cartouche. With one poem by Toshigaki Maharu.
