About this work

Three lacquered rice wine (sake) saucers on crêpe paper. One bowl lies upside down; on the other two a carp and a dragon are depicted swimming against a waterfall. This refers to the belief that carp that could swim against a certain river eventually turned into dragons. With three poems.
