About this work

On a pedestal sits the Amsterdam Maiden with the coat of arms of Amsterdam. She has her arm extended towards the horn of plenty which is held by a putto with a winged helmet. To the right of her flies a putto with a crown in his hands, in front of her kneels a putto with a book on a cushion. Above in the air the trumpet is blown by a putto who holds a medallion with the portrait of a sailing ship.
