About this work
A pendulum with rocaille ornaments, floral motifs, a cartouche with a crown, and four putti. The four putti sit around the clockwork and symbolize morning, noon, evening, and night. The putto on the left sits next to a rooster and drinks coffee, the putto in the upper center is having lunch, the putto on the right drinks wine, and the putto in the lower center is sleeping.
