About this work

A pendulum clock with rocaille ornaments, floral motifs, a cartouche with a crown, and four putti. The four putti sit around the clockwork and symbolize morning, noon, evening, and night. The putto on the left sits next to a rooster and drinks coffee; the putto in the middle above is having lunch; the putto on the right drinks wine; the putto in the middle below lies sleeping.
