On a column Emperor Nero on horseback, holding a lyre. In the background the Great Fire of Rome. At the bottom on the column two cartouches with scenes from his life. To the right the senate listens to one of his musical performances. To the left he commits suicide with a dagger. The print has a Latin inscription. The print is part of a twelve-part series about Roman emperors.
