Peter appears to Ignatius

Three scenes from the life of Ignatius of Loyola. On the left, Saint Peter appears in a vision to the bedridden Ignatius of Loyola, wounded on his leg after the battle of Pamplona. Next to his bed, the religious works that inspired him during his recovery. On the right, two other visions: one of the Virgin Mary and the Christ child, one of Christ. These visions drive demons away from his heart. The print has a Latin inscription with explanation about the different visions. The print is part of a fifteen-part series on the life of Ignatius of Loyola.
