About this work
An onyx with the image of a Roman triumphal chariot on which a laureled man sits with a woman and child. Two centaurs walk in front of the chariot, and an angel with a laurel wreath flies in the sky. Surrounding the onyx is an ornate frame. The onyx was to be sold on 11 September 1765 at the Munt in Amsterdam.
