About this work
An onyx with the portrait of a Roman triumphal chariot on which a laureled man sits with a woman and child. Two centaurs walk in front of the chariot; an angel with a laurel wreath flies in the sky. Around the onyx, a richly decorated frame. The onyx was to be sold on September 11, 1765, at the Munt in Amsterdam.
