About this work
Album with 200 prints on 87 album leaves. Factice album, meaning: an album compiled by a collector or owner of the prints. The prints come largely from a publication titled 'A Collection of two hundred original etchings', published in 1816 by J.M. Greery with prints by various makers made after designs by, among others, Rembrandt van Rijn, Claude Lorrain, and Cornelis Bega. The prints are largely cut within the plate border.
