About this work
The Church Fathers sit in a church space and discuss the question of the holy sacrament of the Eucharist. On the altar stands a monstrance with a host, above it floats the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove. In the heaven the heavenly court convenes over the matter. Christ sits in the middle, on both sides Mary and John the Baptist, behind him figures from the Bible. God the Father and the choir of angels float above the clouds.
