About this work

A decorative composition with interlacing and arches. At the top of the arches a medallion with Hercules and Antaeus, flanked by two half-figures. On top of the arches sit birds, an eagle and an owl chased by a cat and a dog. Under the arches hang two birdcages. In the center sits Orpheus with his lyre under an arch of two trees with monkeys. Left and right dance two bacchantes. Center bottom stand a unicorn and a deer on both sides of a sitting lion. Left and right bottom oval medallions.
