About this work
A decorative composition consisting of three panels with interlacing. Left a fountain in the form of a vase carried by a bearded head with oars. Below them two half-figures carry a shell with the initials of Louis XIV. At the bottom a tablet with a merman on a dolphin. In the center a Chinese man is worshipped by two Chinese figures. At the top sit two monkeys. At the bottom a medallion with a portrait and two caryatids. Right birds, caryatids, a brazier and a sphinx.
