About this work
Christ falls with the cross on the way to Golgotha. He receives blows from a soldier. Simon of Cyrene helps him with the cross. In the background, John and Mary. The print has a Latin Bible quotation as an inscription and is the ninth print of a fifteen-part series on the life of Christ and the Virgin Mary.
