About this work
Christ is taken down from the cross by Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus. Mary and John receive his body. In the background on the left, Christ is laid in his tomb. The print has a Latin inscription with a text from the Bible and is the eleventh print of a fourteen-print series on the Passion of Christ.
