Hercules rescues Hesione from the sea monster. Standing in a boat, Hercules strikes the monster with his club. Hesione sits on the right chained to the rock. Print is part of a series of prints that together represent the painted ceiling with the Apotheosis of Hercules in the Hôtel Lambert in Paris. This print is part of an album.
