About this work

A boy and his father walk on both sides of a donkey. On the left three female bystanders, one of them with a baby on her arm, who make speaking gestures and point. Depiction of the Aesopic fable of the father, the son and the donkey. Third scene of the fable, in which it is told how the father and son walk together next to the donkey and are made fools of because they do not make use of the animal. Fourth print from a series of six with depictions from the fable of Aesopus of the father, the son and the donkey.
