About this work
Christopher carries the child on his arm and the globe on his head. The pedestal stands on a cross-shaped base on which on both sides sits a nereid. One of 20 sheets from a series (Architectura. Von Ausztheilung, Symmetria und Proportion der fünff Seulen...) consisting of 193 sheets and 5 title pages, divided into five books. This is a second, expanded edition of the series described under Orn Cat I-319.
