About this work
The monkey rides a fantastic creature with a snail shell as a body, and the rat rides a fantastic creature with a huge horn on its snout. Plate from a series of flat decorations with grotesques, cartouches, ovals, mascarons, putti, and fantastic creatures. The series consists of three title pages, two text pages with the dedication and preface, and 60 plates, divided into three books.
