About this work
Above Venus hovers Cupid. On the cartouche sit two river gods. On the left and right sides of the sheet stand two candelabra with herms, griffins, and leaf motifs. From a series of title page + 16 sheets with cartouches or architectural fantasies with a representation in a frame of grotesques with mythical creatures, animals, garlands, trophies, and mascarons.
