About this work
Above Venus hovers Amor. On the cartouche sit two river gods. On the left and right side of the sheet stand two candelabras with herms, griffins and leaf motifs. From a series of title page + 16 leaves with cartouches or architectural fantasies with a scene in a frame of grotesques with mythical creatures, animals, garlands, trophies and mascarons.
