About this work

On the left stands King Cyrus of Persia with a scepter in his hand. In the background it can be seen how Cyrus as a baby is handed over to a shepherd by Harpagus. On the right King Cambyses of Persia standing with his hand on his sword. In the background it can be seen how Cambyses kills the son of Prexaspes with an arrow. Below the scene a two-line text and a three-line text in Latin. This print is part of an album.
