About this work

In heaven Satan asks God if he may test Job. Then Satan brings his calamity upon Job. Job sits on the dunghill and his skin is covered with sores. His wife urges him to curse God, but Job does not. In the background the raid on Job's cattle. Below the scene a reference in Latin to the Bible text in Job 2:9. This print is part of an album.
