About this work

Ezra has gone to the field with five men and is offered a fiery cup by God from which he drinks. This is the cup of knowledge and wisdom. The five men write down the words Ezra speaks afterwards. Below the image is a Latin reference to the apocryphal Bible text in 4 Ezra 14:37. This print is part of an album.
