About this work
A man, after he has found a treasure in a field, buys the field from the owner. In the background it can be seen how the man finds the treasure and buries it again. In the foreground stands the man with a money bag in his hand to negotiate and buy the field. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Matt. 13:44. This print is part of an album.
