About this work
The Prodigal Son has squandered his inheritance and works as a swineherd for a farmer. He kneels among the pigs and eats with them from the trough. On the right in the background, the Prodigal Son is driven out of the brothel because his money is gone. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the Biblical text in Luke 15:15. This print is part of an album.
