About this work
The Transfiguration on the mountain. Moses and Elijah appear on either side of Christ and speak with him. On the mountain sit James, John, and Peter. The latter makes a speaking gesture and proposes to set up three tents for Christ, Moses, and Elijah. Below the representation, a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Matt. 17:1.
