About this work
The Transfiguration on the mountain. Moses and Elijah appear on either side of Christ and speak with him. On the mountain sit James, John and Peter. The latter makes a speaking gesture and proposes to set up three tents for Christ, Moses and Elijah. Below the image a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Matthew 17:1.
