About this work
Joseph's brothers have returned to Egypt with their little brother Benjamin and kneel before Joseph. He invites them to a meal. In the back left, the brothers sit opposite Joseph at the meal. At the very back, the continuation of the story can be seen: in Benjamin's sack of grain, Joseph's silver cup is found. Below the image, a Latin reference to the Biblical text in Genesis 43.
