About this work

The female personification of the continent America sits with bow and arrow in a cart drawn by two unicorns. Next to the cart a giant armadillo and a lizard. In the background cannibals slaughter a man and roast him over a fire. Further back men shoot at each other with bow and arrow. The print is part of a four-part series with personifications of the four continents.
