About this work
Hermes, recognizable by his winged sandals and petasus (hat), holding a wreath of flowers. The whole is framed with, on the left and right, a so-called caduceus, a staff entwined by two snakes, and the city arms of Delft and Bruges. At the top, the text: 'The board of the Dutch Yeast and Spirit Factory has awarded the medal for [...] years of faithful service to [...]'.
