About this work
In the air floats the planet god Mars, surrounded by all kinds of weaponry. In the foreground the personification of Discretio, discretion. She has as attributes the scales, the measuring cup and the sieve. Next to her stands a soldier with a lance. In the background a battle. The print has a Latin inscription and is part of a seven-part series on the power of the seven planets over the seven ages of man.
