About this work

Printer's mark for the Plantijn-Moretus printing house in Antwerp. In the center, a hand with a compass, a reference to the signboard 'The Golden Compass'. Behind the hand, a view of a city, presumably Antwerp. Around the scene, putti and two male personifications.
