About this work
In a rocaille ornament sits Pluto with crown, trident, and cornucopia as god of wealth on a throne. Before him kneels a man with a mask on the back of his head. To the right sits King Croesus with crown and scepter chained to a chest of coins. To the left behind Solon looks disapprovingly at the whole scene. In the lower margin two columns with a five-line German text. Print number 348.
