About this work

David visits the camp where his brothers are stationed and asks the soldiers what is happening with the person who defeats the Philistine Goliath in the background, after which they tell him about the rewards. One of the soldiers he is talking to may be his brother Eliab. King Saul sits on the left. Below the image a Latin reference to the biblical text in 1 Samuel 17. This print is part of an album.
