About this work

King Hezekiah has the springs and irrigation channels outside Jerusalem closed, so that Sennacherib and his army will not have an abundance of water during the siege of Jerusalem. In the background, the walls of Jerusalem are reinforced and provided with towers. Below the scene, a Latin reference to the biblical text in 2 Chronicles 32:2. This print is part of an album.
