About this work
God appears as a halo of rays in the sky. The prophet Jeremiah stands with his hand raised, looking upward, with a yoke around his neck that God has commanded him to make as a symbol of the yoke of Babylon. To the left, King Zedekiah of Judah stands on a raised platform. At the bottom of the stairs, the prophet Hananiah, with the help of others, breaks the yoke from Jeremiah's neck into pieces. Below the image is a reference in Latin to the biblical text in Jer. 27:1. This print is part of an album.
