About this work

A woman chops herbs on a plank supported by two wooden barrels. A second woman watches with a bucket under her arm. In the background a village and people on the beach. The fulling block, used to felt fabrics, to which the title of the print refers, is not present on the print. The chopping on the cutting board probably refers to it. With one poem.
