About this work
Landscape with the female personification of Justice (Justitia), one of the four cardinal virtues. In her hands the sword (power) and the scales (impartiality). On the left in the background possibly the angel who killed the soldiers in the camp of the Assyrians (Jes. 37:36). On the right in the background possibly Peter and Ananias who has just fallen dead (Acts 5:1-10). In the margin a two-line inscription in Latin. Fourth print from a series of virtues.
