About this work
The five wise and the five foolish virgins have fallen asleep because the bridegroom was late. They are woken by an angel who shouts that the bridegroom is coming. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin referring to the sleeping virgins and the voice that wakes them. This print is part of an album.
