Charlemagne, a famous commander from the Christian era, standing with a sceptre and shield on the battlefield. He is part of The Nine Worthies. Below the image a verse in Latin. The image is framed with scrollwork and various animals, such as a cat stalking a mouse, monkeys and rabbits on which two boys are hunting. This print is part of an album.
