About this work
Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with on the front the coat of arms of the Barbarigo family, flanked by two angels. Above it a crown and armor and the motto: A Victoria Nomen. On the back the façade of the church of Saint Matthias in Murano. On the pedestal Saint Matthias is shown being killed with a sword and stones. The palm branch in his hand is the symbol of his martyrdom. The print is part of an album.
