About this work

Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with on the front the portrait of Angelo Barbarigo, with a cardinal's hat. On the back the pope under a baldachin. He is handing over a cardinal's hat. The pedestal is flanked by Religion and Impartiality or Justice. Religion is depicted as a veiled woman with a cross and a book. In her left hand a flame. Next to her stands an elephant. The woman on the right is blindfolded and holds a sword and a cardinal's hat in her hands. The print is part of an album.
