About this work

Pedestal in the form of a cartouche. On it a medallion with, on the front, the portrait of Gregoro Barbarigo. On the back, he teaches children. To the left of the pedestal stands the female personification of Faith. She holds a book and a Christ image in her hands. Her foot rests on a cornerstone, a symbol of Christ. To the right, two children are led to Faith under the guidance of an angel. A boy lights his candle from the torch that Faith holds in her hands. Behind them, an altar with a chalice and host. The Holy Spirit descends in the form of a dove. The print is part of an album.
