About this work

Job hears from four messengers about the calamity that has befallen him. In the landscape, it is shown how Job's livestock and camels are stolen, how his shepherds and cattle perished by lightning, and how the house in the city on the left, where Job's children were holding a feast, collapses in the storm. After hearing the bad news, Job tears his clothes and falls to the ground. Explanatory text in Latin below the image. This print is part of an album.
