Dangers of wealth

On a triumphal wagon sits Queen Money (Regina Pecunia). Her left hand rests on a globe, while with her right hand she tries to cover the head of Robbery (Latrochinium) with her cloak. Robbery pierces a heart with a knife. The wagon is pulled by Danger (Periculum) and Fear (Pavor). Behind the wagon follows the personification The World (Pandemia). She holds the cornucopia in one hand and with the other holds her heart close to Queen Money, but is unaware that she is being robbed by Theft (Furtum). The World is surrounded by Envy (Invidia) and the fool Foolishness (Stultitia). Under the image a verse in Latin and a French and Dutch inscription in book type. This print is part of an album.
