About this work
The personification of Labour (Labor) is pushed towards a bridge by Faith (Fides). Labour is pulled further towards the bridge by Hope (Spes) via a rope tied around his waist. On the bridge sit the personifications of God's kingdom and His Justice under the baldachin of the Holy Spirit. Below the image is a four-line verse in Latin and two verses in French and Dutch in book type. This print is part of an album.
